By Waleed Rajabally – Legal Assistant for the Shah Peerally Law Group PC

Immigration is a complex process, there’s no getting around that.  As a new legal assistant at Shah Peerally Law Group, I’ve had to experience this first hand.  From interacting with flustered clients to dealing with complications on immigrant petition forms, the process can be very stressful; but it is also worth it.  One of the joys of my job is reuniting families who have been torn away due to financial hardships and other tribulations.  Every time I receive a case, I try to think about how my work can change the life of a family.  One mistake can cost somebody a visa, and separate loved ones for long periods of time.  This is why I always try to be extra careful when processing these forms, in order to ensure that nothing I do will negatively affect the outcome of these petitions.

As I said, it can be quite stressful.  Perhaps many people don’t see it from the perspective of the lawyers, such as our law group, who process hundreds of these forms, weeks at a time.  We know the responsibility that is placed on our shoulders and the impact we have on people’s lives all around the world.  That is the standard that Shah Peerally Law Group tries to maintain.  And that is why we always do our best to put out as much information about the immigration process as possible, despite the fact that much of the information we reveal to the public would not be given out for free at other law groups.  It’s because we really do care.  It’s because we ourselves have experienced the painful realities of immigration, it’s because we don’t want to see our clients fall through the cracks of the immigration system, and it’s because we feel it is our duty to protect those who feel abandoned or afraid, due to their unfortunate circumstances.  Immigration is a complex process; the solution isn’t.
