Another Student Visa Fraud Involving Indians
Unfortunately although the Tri Valley University was a traumatic event for many Indian students, it seems that the scams and duping of students have not stopped. After Herguan University CEO was indicted and plead guilty for fraud, now we are seeing another group of people helping with Financial Aid fraud.
According to Times of India:
Manhattan US Attorney Preet Bharara said the three turned their for-profit schools into “instruments of fraud to exploit our nation’s foreign student visa and domestic student financial aid programs for their own personal financial gain. Education fraud remains a high-priority focus of ours and we will prosecute all those who make a self-serving sham out of education.”
