Britain decides to exit the European Union – what does that mean for the rest of the world?
Brexit wins today. But a Brexit vote was not a vote against the European Union, it was a xenophobic, anti-immigration and anti-Muslim vote. Those who sold Brexit to Great Britain are those who preyed on the fear of people. Many of them are claiming victory for their racist ideology. Twitter is now trending with Brexit Muslims

This victory will have a consequential negative impact not only on UK and EU but on the world as well. It will affect Europe decision to pull Turkey into the EU but will also affect immigration. Since the group who were championing for Brexit are mostly xenophobic, they will now feel embolden. Ultimately it will encourage those who are xenophobic in the United States to vote and actually push Donald Trump into a possible victory.
As for immigration, we had analyzed the situation prior to this decision. It will definitely affect the world migration.
The impact on British Economy.
While the Brexit supporters have voted with a “nationalistic” mind, they have forgotten that the world is now a big ‘global village’. The pound sterling has already started falling, many other investors especially from Asia and the Middle East will start pulling out their investments. The impact on employment will be catastrophic. In additional, Scotland which voted to remain in the EU, will renew its push to break away from the United Kingdom.
There will be definitely a negative domino effect on not only the UK but world economy but also on world investment and migration. We just hope that the domino effect will not engulf the world in the next few weeks.
As someone put it well today: “The Sun finally set on the British Empire”
