It seems that the DHS is not updating anything on their websites. Lately we have not no further calls of anybody being detained. However, it seems that most students volunteering information are being placed in removal proceedings although not all of them are being placed in custody. I am hoping that the Indian government is intervening. There are rumors that leaving the country without a Notice to Appear (NTA) will trigger a bar. However not of the rumors are unfounded. Just for information, in case an NTA is issued you will need an attorney and one of the relief can be a voluntary departure. Again, please do not communicate with the Department of Homeland Security without an attorney.
We will keep you posted for any additional update!!!
