Herguan University located in Sunnyvale California might unfortunately follow the same fate as Tri Valley University after the federal court denied their Temporary Rest raining Order ( TRO Denied)  to  keep the University opened until the case is decided.  Many are calling our office panicking about their fate.  Well, in the assumption that the school will be shutting down soon and their SEVP will be terminated soon.  As such we have compiled few tips to help the students.  Note that these tips are  limited advises and are  provided for educational purposes only, you should not act or refrain act solely on the information provided.  You should consult an attorney before you make any move.  You can contact our office at 510 742 5887 for a full assessment of your case:

  1. If you are currently enrolled at Herguan University, we recommend that you find  and transfer your SEVIS (Form I-20) to another respectable university;
  2. If you were previously on an H4 visa, go ahead and get back on your H4 as soon as possible  by doing a change of status.  We recommend you hire a lawyer to help on this matter because you can expect and RFE (Request for Evidence) or an Intent to Deny on the case which needs to be dealt with delicately;
  3. If you are on OPT, you will probably lose your OPT .  However, you should focus on getting your SEVIS and I-20 transferred to protect your status; and
  4. If you are approached by the authorities please mention that you would like to retain an attorney before speaking to them.

Unfortunately just like Tri Valley University things are unfolding so fast that the advises of today might not be good tomorrow, this is why you should talk to a reputable attorney before you make any decision.
