The Tri Valley University(TVU) saga was an amazing episode of ‘Student Visa’ problems. It was probably one of biggest immigration scandal in this decade. The entire system was questioned including the way school are granted permission to issue student visas (I-120) to the pain of being duped as a foreign student . Hundreds of students mostly from India suffered because they had no idea how the system works. We hope that the conviction of the real culprit will culminate in justice for all the students who went through a horrible ordeal. We also hope lessons will be learned. The Shah Peerally Law Group PC especially attorney Shah Peerally stood firm to tackle the ‘nightmare’ of the students of TVU. The position that most of the students were victims actually proved to be true. Some of their stories can be found here. Shah Peerally was at the forefront to fight for the rights of the TVU students including his radio shows, phone conferences, media appearances, and calling on government officials to help. Following the debacle of TVU, many schools have actually amended their “ways”. To this end Shah Peerally under ‘The Immigration Lawyer Series‘ will release a book from an immigration lawyer perspective which hopefully will serve as a guide for students who are actually contemplating studying in the United Sates. The book is an attempt to educate future students, from an immigration lawyer’s experience, about the “dos and don’ts” of studying in the United States on a student visa (F1 Visa). The book is scheduled to be released around fall of 2014.
