Donald Trump Pro Immigration Actions Versus His Anti Immigration Rhetoric.
Immigration is a major issue in this election to the point that it is almost going to determine the outcome of the election. The GOP candidate nominee, Donald Trump has been proposing a number of very controversial immigration reforms which baffle most Americans. For instance his ideas of deporting all “undocumented” immigrants, ban Muslims, cutting worker visas like H1Bs and building a wall between USA and Mexico. Many of Donald Trump supporters are praising him for championing the exile of hundreds and ban of millions. Yet most of his supporters are ignoring that Donald Trump is probably more ‘guilty’ of helping and using immigrants and the immigration system than many others.
First of all, Trump married two wives, two immigrants and actually filed for their greencards. He is basically what we call an ‘anchor husband.’ Trump is claiming there are flaws in the system, yet he himself has ‘abused ‘ the system. Second, Trump extensively uses H1B workers where many of his businesses rely on guest workers under the H1B program. Third, he wants to ban Muslims while many of his businesses are located in the Muslim world including the UAE and Dubai.
Looking back at Trump’s proposed ideas, they are just good to please a bigoted and anti-immigration mass but it is not something that is actually viable in a world of international trade and respect. Appealing to the constituents by promising them things which ‘they want to hear’ is even beyond politics. While politicians are known to be ‘liars’, it is rare to have a candidate who not only lies but also make false interpretations of situations. For example he maintains that the shooter in Orlando was born in Afghanistan while he was born in the USA. Trump has also claimed repeatedly that president Obama is born outside the United States and as such not fit for US Presidency. He even claims that President Obama is a Muslim – which should not be an issue under the US constitution. None of Trump’s claims has been substantiated or proven.
If a political candidate has no respect for his own constituency, it makes you wonder what he will do an innocent world which never wanted him in the first place. The world had a taste of that with Bush who went to war with Iraq costing the lives of almost 5 millions Iraqis. Until today there is nobody to morn the innocents Iraqis who perished at the hand of a war thirsty country whose president wanted to just prove a point!
I think the world does have a say about who is going to be the President of the United States because many of the innocent lives are at stake.
