Tri Valley University update as per March 4th 2011
Lately the we have received unconfirmed news that 700 TVU students are in the process of reinstatement. Unfortunately this number has not been confirmed by the US government. Therefore, it is almost impossible for us to make a determination of the truthfulness of the information. However, it seems that some of our colleagues are confirming this news and the ‘behavior’ of ICE towards the students seems to indicate that they are willing to help.
Based on the feedback from ICE field agents or “Special Agents”, it seems that :
- There will be no NTA (Notice to Appear) issued in the Bay Area California. Note that nothing official except an oral confirmation from a “special agent”;
- Agents are looking to interview the students in order to complete their investigation of Tri Valley University. Note that it is not advisable to talk without the presence of an attorney; and
- There is a chance that they will allow students to be interviewed at our office (Shah Peerally Law Group PC headquarters in Newark CA). This again has not been confirmed yet.
Therefore, it seems our demand has partially been met although we believe that there is a lot remaining to be achieved. However, we applaud the move and wish that we are able to assist as many students as we can.
As a note, we received an email today from NDTV requesting our participation in a question session with Nirupama Rao at 9.30pm on Saturday. Students are invited to send their questions to us on [email protected] and we can try to address as many of these questions on the show. Unfortunately our law firm has not yet confirmed attendance on this session. We will keep you informed accordingly.
We will update you regarding any new information in the future.
For those who are having issues with reinstatement, we will be glad to assist. Call us on 510 742 5887 or email [email protected]
